Hi I'm Dave, that's me on the right, I'm a computer programming, ale loving, philosophying, DIY-ing, malt sipping, backpacking, published, techno evangelical from Belfast, Northern Ireland, and I think I've created the first genuinely free dating site on the web, yes that is free, not a free trial, there's no membership fees, no credit card details, heck I don't even have a form to take them, it's free, it's all free, but why?

Well I'm just a fuzzy sort how gets a warm glow from doing things for other people, I run all my sites with my own style of 'free beer', open access philosophy. I don't sell your information, I don't fill your computer with spyware, and I don't have any viruses or any other infection diseases, that I know about. My site has a green status at McAfee's Site Advisor go ahead check it out.

The site was founded in September 2005 and I initially took two weeks to write the code, which I did between finishing my masters and starting a career, though there has been many many many more man hours poured into the site since then, and I must acknowledge my partner, Mary, for putting up with my funny habits and continual long nights in front of the computer coding. I call the program that I wrote to run the site Charity to convey my own fuzzy feelings of kindness and giving. No doubt if you sign up you'll get acquainted with Charity she's a nice sort, and you never know who she might introduce you too ;)

I pay for the site myself, it's not overly expensive, and I have a pretty good day job, but do feel free to help me out by visiting one of the adverts at the bottom of each page, it would be appreciated (it helps to pay the bills and you might even like it). All our advertisers are vetted, so no nasty pop ups, or cow boys, indeed those from the UK will recognize some pretty big brands in that little advert box.
